Shamanism: A Spiritual Practice for Everyday Life
This class is a pre-requisite for all other advanced Shamanic training and workshops offered.
Shamanism is an ancient and powerful spiritual practice utilized throughout history and still today to restore spiritual and physical health and obtain self-knowledge. The Shamanic Journey has been called one of the “most remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore the hidden universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream”.
The experience of journeying is deep, profound and healing. Our tribal shaman ancestors knew how to live in harmony with their environment, their associates and their Gods. They did this in part by using the deep, profound, and healing technique of Shamanic journeying that you will learn in this introductory workshop.
The shamanic journey takes you to the dimension of the Spirits, a non-ordinary reality that is next to us and all around us but which lies just beyond our everyday perception. You will learn to travel to these extraordinary worlds that surround us, connecting there with your helping spirits, power animals, and spirit guides.
Journeying boosts the immune system, energizes the body, mind, and spirit, and is unparalleled as a wisdom tool. Answers to any questions, concerns, or issues that you might have are within your reach once you have learned the technique of the shamanic journey. Journeying provides a direct connection to Spirit that will help you bring calm, peace, and insight into your everyday life.
Note: Workshop is a total of 3 hours, this includes the meal and grounding time after the session. You will all be smudged before entering into the circle and taught how to call in our spiritual helpers from the 4 directions. I will take you on a guided journey, as I drum, to the upper and lower non-ordinary worlds. We will than discuss and share and answer questions at this time. You will learn to enter all journeys into a journal, so bring a journal with you to the workshop. If you have a drum and rattle, please bring to the workshop. If you don’t have one yet, I will have extras. The only time you will drum in this workshop is at the beginning in the circle. I now have drums available to purchase from me, either with or without a painting on the drum. (see Spirit Drum information). Also bring blanket and pillow.
You will receive in the workshop a handmade eye pillow (filled with rice and lavender), information packet and drumming CD. All the tools you will need to use when you do this on your own. All participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Advanced Shamanic Practitioner Workshop
To attend this workshop you will have to have completed the ‘Introduction To Shamanic Journey Workshop’
Soul Retrieval: There are many ways, and there are many reasons for soul loss. The Soul is very delicate, it is your emotional center. When a child suffers abuse whether it is emotional, physical or sexual, and he or she has no defense and nowhere to escape to, it is the Soul that runs away. When the abuse is constant, piece after piece will break away. Over time this will lead to a feeling of, ‘being outside of yourself, having no ‘will’, like you are living your life in a ‘dream’, feeling ‘disconnected’ to yourself and your emotions.
Although you may feel numb emotionally, you still feel the pain and hurt. Many adults continue to suffer soul loss. We may choose partners that perpetuate the abuse because that is all we know. We become used to it, not realizing that it is still possible to be happy again.
Abuse is not the only way soul loss occurs. It is possible to ‘give’ a part of yourself away. If someone you loved very deeply leaves you, by death or other circumstances, they may ‘take’ a part of you with them, where ever they go, even to the grave. If someone has great power and control over you, they can take what they want. You can feel the loss. Sometimes this is referred to as ‘taking one’s power away’ this is all very real.
You can even leave a part of your Soul in a place loved by you. A home, vacation spot, a place you played at when you were little. Moving away from a place you loved is a common way. We seem to remember the happy places in our lives, we often return to them. When this is the only happiness left in our present day life, it can lead to melancholy and depression.
At this point, a person may seek ways to kill the pain through alcohol, drugs, overeating etc. Anger can become the dominant emotion. Over time, all this turmoil can have an effect on the personality, leading to mental disorders. It is a downward spiral that may seem inescapable.
This is when shamanic healing is needed. A shaman has the ability to journey to the events in the past that caused the soul loss, gather the parts of the Soul and return them. In the spiritual world, time is not linear. All things are possible.
This workshop will teach you how to recognize a person who needs a soul retrieval and how you can journey to find these soul parts for the client.
Coma patients are those who have had nearly the entire soul leave the body. There is just enough of the soul remaining to keep the patient alive, but without consciousness. The Physical World cannot live without the Spiritual World. The human body cannot live without the soul. If the soul leaves the body, death occurs. Whatever the traumatic event that caused the soul to flee the body, these souls are either lost and cannot find their way back to the body, or are still deciding IF they want to return to the body, or go on to their Spiritual home.
Yes, this state can continue for weeks, months and years because time is not linear in the spiritual world. It is possible for a soul that has been floating outside the body to believe that only a few moments have passed, when in physical reality it has been weeks or months. It is possible to find these souls and determine if they wish to return to the body and wake up. Then, if they wish it, guide them back to the physical body.
Shamanic Extraction Healing Training: Participants will be initiated into the extraction method of healing, including how to see, sense and remove localized spiritual illness and pain connected to spiritual factors. This is an important part of shamanic healing training. They will also learn how shamanic practitioners can work in partnership to increase the effectiveness of this work.
The Extraction Healing Training, Soul Retrieval and Journey with your power animal for dismemberment (cleansing) are the 3 main techniques that will be taught in this workshop and it is designed exclusively for people who want to bring shamanic healing work into their practice with others. The training is not designed for people looking for personal healing.
Before enrolling in this training workshop, please make sure that you have been having success in contacting your power animals, and/or teachers on your own and that you feel confident in your journey skills.
This is an intensive 4 hour class and 1 hour after for grounding through nourishment for the body with food and water.

Please bring a blanket, pillow, your eye pillow, drum and rattle. If you haven’t gotten a drum or rattle yet, I will have some you can borrow for the session. These are tools that you will need in this work. Don’t forget your journal. Being a Shamanic Practitioner is not a job…it’s a Divine way of life in being a healer through spirit.

Psychometry is another form of psychic divination using the sense of touch to get mental impression linked to it. Psychometric impressions may come in the form of emotions, sounds, scents, tastes or images. The visions can appear as flat images, much like a photo, or as animations. This is the vision work I use in my readings that I’ve done for many years now. I will also teach you how to ASK/LISTEN to spirit and other ways to communicate with your guides.

Spirit Art
My goal as a Spirit Art Teacher is to help individuals discover and utilize their inner potential through creating with their own spirit energy forces. Throughout this workshop, whether you feel you are artistic or not, I will show you how to express yourself painting with ‘Spirit Participation” and the end result will be the student coming away with a personal spirit painting that has helped them connect with the unseen world of spirit guides, animal totems and teachers of higher consciousness.
The cost of this 2 hour workshop is $50.00 in my studio in Larwill, IN. All supplies will be furnished, a 16”x20” primed canvas, acrylic paint and 1” brush etc. All who participate in this class will take home a painting that will talk to them and will be a personal spirit art keepsake they can treasure always.
At your home or business the cost is $65.00 each and over 50 miles from Larwill, IN there will be traveling expenses. Examples of this class can be found here.
